TV stars from Coronation Street and Hollyoaks were in attendance at Ladies Day of the Southport Flower Show on Saturday, greenhouse enthusiasts may be interested to hear
The stars added some glamour to the event which, according to the Liverpool Daily Post, was due to attract 70,000 people over the course of four days.
Shobna Gulati and Jimmi Harkishin of Coronation Street were joined by ex-Hollyoaks actress Sarah Jayne Buckley in attending the show, with Buckley hosting a lunch to raise money for The Legacy Rainbow House, a disabled children's centre in Mawdesley.
Mrs Gulati told the Liverpool Echo that it was excellent to see and talk to so many people who share the same interest.
"We've really enjoyed today and it has been great meeting all the people here," Mr Harkishin added.
Southport Flower Show chief executive David Jackson was delighted with the feedback he had received, stating that it was overwhelmingly positive.
