Greenhouse enthusiasts might be interested to learn that the Glynn Primary School in Larne, Northern Ireland, officially has the greenest garden in the country, after environment minister Alex Attwood officially presented it with the award.
The school's Rethink Waste Garden was displayed at the Hillsborough Garden Show in May and was designed to be beneficial to the environment through the use of recycled materials and wildlife-friendly planting.
It features compost bins and a wormery to help develop children's understanding of where food comes from and how waste can be recycled by the animals.
Mr Attwood told the Larne Times this garden was a stepping stone in making the country a better place to live and invest in.
"It will help encourage this school community to think about where their food comes from and it can be used to help the school gain its International Green Flag under the Eco-Schools Programme," he added.
The Eco-Schools programme was originally developed in 1994 and it aims to involve young people in trying to find solutions to challenges facing the environment and its sustainability throughout the world.
