Wisley Flower Show set for changes

Garden and greenhouse enthusiasts have been told this year‘s Wisley Flower Show will be different from normal.

Aside from the fact it is to take place from September 11th to 13th instead of mid-August, the event will also have a new layout, with a collection of stalls and displays spread along the path towards the glasshouse.

There will also be a new exhibit from the National Association of Flower Arranging Societies (NAFAS), with visitors encouraged to vote for their favourite display in the People‘s Choice section of awards.

NAFAS members will also be on hand to distribute garden and greenhouse tips, while over 30 nurseries will be displaying their wares.

The date of the event was changed due to the increased number of events being held at the Royal Horticultural Society‘s (RHS) site over the school break.

It will also allow for late summer planting themes to be introduced in time for the show.

Meanwhile, the RHS is also holding two Dig Together Days to encourage youngsters to take up gardening.ADNFCR-1495-ID-19346435-ADNFCR
