RHS hosts half-term events

With the half-term break approaching, those wishing to introduce kids to the pleasures of garden and greenhouse growing are being given an opportunity to do so by taking them to a number of events.

The Royal Horticultural Society‘s (RHS) Garden Wisley site is set to host The Big Draw – a weekend of creative activity that will see a giant leaf art picture made.

It takes place on Saturday and Sunday October 24th and 25th and will mark the beginning of a week of activities, with children invited to make miniature scarecrows or grass head characters on Wednesday and plant wallflowers on Thursday

Meanwhile, Garden Harlow Carr will host a Halloween special, with youngsters making accessories and decorations on October 30th.

Little visitors will also be asked to come in fancy dress on October 31st, when they can have their face painted and enter their pumpkins into a competition.

The RHS recently began redesigning its website, which has included the addition of a section dedicated to getting kids interested in the garden and greenhouses.ADNFCR-1495-ID-19419591-ADNFCR
