Garden and greenhouse enthusiasts visiting a renowned Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) site were recently given the chance to write their names into the history books.
Hundreds of participants joined together at RHS Garden Wisley to take part in a successful Guinness world record attempt.
According to the RHS, 502 people took part in the world's largest simultaneous conker competition.
The contest, which featured 251 matches all being played at once, took place on the Seven Arches lawn at the famous garden and greenhouse attraction on October 30th.
With the results now in, those who attended can officially call themselves Guinness world record holders.
"We had players of all ages joining in, with some families travelling as far away as Sussex to take part," the RHS explained.
It said a "massive thank you" was due to all who came along as it would have been impossible to achieve the record without their assistance.
In other news, the RHS has reported that the National Trust is looking for more sightings of the rare thatch moss Leptodontium gemmascens after it was discovered growing on a number of historic buildings.
